PCA staff members have been experiencing issues with ImageSilo, specifically when trying to download or save student records. Downloads are either taking a very long time or failing altogether.
We've been working with ImageSilo's support team and PCA's IT department to get to the bottom of this, and we believe we've identified the cause. We're currently working on a fix and will provide an update as soon as it's resolved.
In the Meantime:
If you run into issues downloading a record, try logging out of ImageSilo and logging back in, then attempting the download again. This has helped some users temporarily while we work on a permanent fix.
If you continue to have issues, please reach out to the helpdesk: devicesupport@pecosca.us and we'll do our best to assist!
Update:
Digitech Systems found the following Amazon S3 domains as needing to be allowlisted for ImageSilo downloads to work. Once the network configuration was addressed, downloads began working normally.
The recommended domain to allow:
silo-us-.s3.amazonaws.com
If a more restrictive approach is needed, these specific domains can be used instead:
- silo-us-*-useast1.s3.amazonaws.com
- silo-us-*-uswest2.s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com
- silo-us-docs1-useast1.s3.amazonaws.com
- silo-us-docs1-uswest2.s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com
- silo-us-reparch1-useast1.s3.amazonaws.com
- silo-us-reparch1-uswest2.s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com
